 Black box recovery
After Sharm-El-Sheikh (Egypt) & Sotchi (Russia) successful operations, GIB systems are now well known for fast black box relocation operations over a wide area. GIB system is small enough to be easily shipped to the operation site. Buoys are kept drifting over the search area. After a few hours, Black Boxes positions are calculated with a metric accuracy to be compared to hundreds of meters with traditional homing equipment.
 Manned submarine rescue
Following manned submarine distress call, GIB systems allow to relocate DISSUB immediately. As a consequence, adequate rescue means can be brought on site and guided, using the same positioning equipment, towards DISSUB without any time delay.
