30-Apr-2006 GIB-Lite strongly penetrates small AUVs market In 2005, ACSA and CNRS-LIRMM have closely worked together to integrate a GIBTM tracking pinger to H-160 light weight autonomous vehicle. By offering D-GPS accuracy underwater without the constraints of inertial systems, this work will have a strong follow up in 2006. In April, ACSA, LIRMM and ECA will demonstrate, at the Harbor Protection Trial 06 in La Spezia, Italy, mine detection and localization capabilities. Further, THALES Underwater System propose the technology in the SECMAR project which aims at offering a complete answer to coastal waters security. This project has received in February final approval by the Pôle MER committee. GIB tracking systems also encounter much success with ROVs and fiber optic guided vehicles. See more about products:
