    Major breakthrough in underwater warfare thanks to GIBTM

    The 19th may 2005, DCN has conducted at-sea trials to validate a new concept in mine neutralization using GIBTM buoys and ECA K-Ster vehicle. The EMDV has been guided in less than 3 minutes, from a non dedicated platform towards a mine, without the use of a hull-sonar GIBTM any homing sonar. This was made possible thanks to the efficiency of ACSA’s GIB portable tracking systems.
