    Gliders: New application for GIBTM buoys

    Gliders users and manufacturers show a very high interest in the GIBTM technology.
    By using just one GIBTM buoy, it is possible to calibrate the glider drift in X&Y and to modify using an acoustic modem the vehicle mission profile. By doing so, the glider does not need to surface. This greatly reduces the risk of collision with surface ships.
