GIB-Lite and ERUS - Divers tracking & voice communication Numerous divers missions require to associate positioning and communication functions. In order to offer an efficient answer to this need, Thales Safare and ACSA Underwater GPS have implemented, inside the ERUS, acoustic codes that allow at the surface, using GIB-Lite buoys, to provide a real-time divers tracking capability and a 2 ways voice communications.
Coupling GIB-Lite buoys and ERUS offers :
- Real-time tracking of several divers simultaneously,
- Accurate divers guidance in longitude & latitude,
- Events and positions fixing for mapping purposes,
- Divers distress call and assistance,
- Bi-directional voice communications.
