GIB and MCM operations SeaKeeper is now a fully operational MCM system, using the autonomous semi-submersible platform DORADO from ISE, which deploys the towfish AURORA.
The GIB system is used for the accurate positioning of the MLO sonar contacts for later identification and neutralization by expendable mine destruction vehicles.
In June 2003, DCN-International has organized very successful demonstrations of this system in Brest, France. It has been another occasion to prove the efficiency and operational advantages of the GIB system.
